Tribute to Amie Linton

It is with great sadness that we write this tribute to Amie Linton.  Everyone at Northern Education Trust and particularly at Norton Primary Academy are all deeply shocked and upset at the sudden and tragic death of Amie following a car crash on Tuesday evening, 14 July 2020.

We would like to express our heartfelt condolences to her partner, daughter and whole family at this devastating time.

Amie was highly respected by the whole team at Norton Primary Academy, and was an integral part of the school – she had recently been promoted to Phase Leader.  She was an inspiring success story, progressing from Teaching Assistant to Higher Level Teaching Assistant, to Trainee Teacher and then to Phase Leader.  Amie was fully dedicated to teaching, and championed the children at every opportunity.  Her pupils loved her and she will be hugely missed by all who knew her.

An online Book of Condolence has been created – please click here if you would like to leave a message in tribute to her memory.

Norton Primary Academy is a member of the Northern Education Trust.
